I've come across a Manchester London Super Off Peak Day Travelcard valid via: Virgin Trains Only and priced £30.55, but can't work out which services it would be permitted on! Can anyone shed any light?

Is there anything similar available for the opposite direction? I'd quite like a semi-flexible ticket for a Saturday day out to Manchester.

Great idea, these semi-flexible tickets...

However, I can't find a single train that this is valid on, despite the conditions. Any ideas why?

So it's an advance purchase Saturday travelcard, reservations required on Outward. And yes, I was also wondering why no booking engines show it valid on any services. That's a more difficult question, I think! Thanks though John - sheds some light on it!

I don't know about the online engines, but in order to bring it up in a booking office (RJIS/Journey Planner) you need to enter Manchester to Zone R1256/London Zones 1-6 rather than Manchester to London Terminals.

Thats the first thing, the second thing is they are quota controlled like Advance tickets so they may not be available for the next couple of Saturdays. You may need to search farther ahead.

Has anyone managed to find one on any internet booking engine? And what London "station" did you use? Different journey planners have different available, not all of them with any fares available.

I just searched for Manchester to London Euston on Nationalrail then ticked the travelcard box under the timetable results

As far as I can see the Next Saturday they are available to book online is the 19th December
though the online booking systems prevents you from choosing any train other than the 0735 on that date

Full Availability is however restored from the 2nd January

And who did you transfer to to BUY from? None of them work - I guess because when you transfer it has the destination Euston wheras somehow it needs to have a travelcard as the destination. Solutions?
