57s+390s I think are running from Crewe - Carlisle via Manchester/Evil_hippo land (Appleby). The 57s don't uncouple at Manchester Picc IIRC as they're isn't enough time in P13/14 due to time restrictions even on a Sunday, so it all happens at Crewe. :)

No they aren't, unless its changing.

They are running via the WCML Crewe to Preston as normal, so it all happens at Preston.

Well you still can do "most" of the country in a mk2, but it involves very intricate planning, so from North to south you could zig-zag from Fort William, then go back up North to Inverness then cut across to Aberdeen, catch that nights seated sleeper to Preston (or Crewe) and get to Manchester. Then catch the Holyhead 57's there and back, then get the class 90 to Birmingham. *GET A PENDO!* to London then and find the last couple of mk2 on Anglia there & back, then catch the beds to Penzance, and if your lucky you might get a spoon on it!!!

So, thats a lot of Britain covered on mk2s over a few days or so!!! Even without Virmin.
