I have been advised that there will be a "farewell" tour running on
Saturday September 17th, in conjuction with the S.E.G. The details
below are fairly self explanatory. Please feel free to pass this on
to anyone you know who may be interested. I believe the tour will be
called "The Southern Belle".
Obviously as time is short, any publicity for this would be useful.

Southern and in co-operation with other T.O.Cs a last opportunity
to do something very special.
TRAVEL EAST TO WEST AS FAR AS THE THIRD RAIL WILL TAKE US!
This is probably your last opportunity to travel from Kent to Dorset
in an EMU slam door train. With now only limited units available we
will be using a Vep, Cig and Cep on this unique train, using units
that have plied their trade for the last 40 years in these parts.
Route:- Ramsgate(05.58) - Deal (p/u) Dover Priory (06.23) - Ashford
(06.58) Maidstone East (07.18) - Bromley South (07.45) - Waterloo
(08.15/0825) - Then via Arun Valley to Southampton - Bournemouth and
Weymouth (approx 1 hour) - Bournemouth - Southampton - Woking -
Clapham Jn (18.06) - Fast run via Chatham to Ramsgate (19.30)
There will be a special train Ramsgate 20.01 - Deal (20.16) Dover
Priory (20.31) Ashford (20.55) Maidstone East (21.15) - Swanley
(21.40) - Bromley South (21.52) - London Bridge (Arr 22.10). NO
EXTRA COST TO RAILTOUR PASSENGERS, A Charge of £10 will be payable
for a non railtour passenger.
Tickets for this unique train will be:-
First Class:- £60 (no reductions) (Compartment £350)
Standard Class:-£35 Adult. Children £20. (Compartment £200)
Bookings to be sent to Southern Electric Group Railtours, St Annes,
East Hill Road, Otford, Kent, TN15 6YB. Cheques payable to
Southern Electric Group.
Note that whilst every effort will be made to run this train
unforeseen circumstances may cause a change in arrangements. Keep

sales stand.
All Profits for this tour will go to Kent Air Ambulance, Railway
Children and SEG
