Is that not fairly standard practice away from the larger depots of the major group operators?
Because no other McGills depots have this practice in place and it’s not standard practice at most independents in the area.

Coatbridge is completely different to the other 3 depots, so that isn’t surprising. Stagecoach had outstations (quite possibly still do), where the drivers swept out their buses at the end of the day.

It’s only recently they’ve had to start doing this. It was previously done by the shunters.

Makes you wonder what else have they stripped out of Coatbridge if the shunters are no longer there?

Were they ever properly used by mcgills as their a strange model choice

When they 1st took over Silverdale they were used often but as they've scaled back I'm assuming they would withdraw the oddities in the fleet. Not seen the Primo in a while either.

McGills running an electric BYD ADL enviro200 demonstrator on the 38 today, paid the extra 25p over the First 9 to take a ride on it to work today, very nicely appointed wonder if they are looking to go electric for a route r just using it to cover warranty work?

Mr Roberts said on Twitter fairly recently that they were trialling buses for the 38, but I do not know if there have been any others.

It's the Prevent Breast Cancer Pink Demo E400MMC chosen charity by ADL that's been with a good few companies around the UK, touch of luxury for the customers on the 26 that's for sure. Maximum length aswell 11.5M. ADL demonstrator buses are always top spec.

McGills are also not giving change from Monday, so are encouraging customers to use contactless, m-tickets etc.
