A disastrous peak this morning travelling from Brentwood to Stratford. I arrived at Brentwood at 0810 hoping to catch the 0813. All trains delayed due to 'Signalling problems' I eventually caught the very late running 0737 which arrived at 0815. We came into stations like Romford and Ilford which were packed the driver was urging passengers to wait for the next train which was only 1 minute behind but people were not having it.

Then we eventually got to Stratford, well by that I mean sitting at a signal outside the station. We were informed there was a train in front which was stcuk in the platform. After about 10 minutes we preceded into the platform and a lot of people got off and took theCentral Line because the problem was between Bow and Bethnal Green.

Then whilst waiting at Stratford all sorts of shuntings were taking place. For example HERE 315805 + 315xxx were shunted into Platform 10A!

Top marks to our driver who informed us and kept us laughing all the way to Stratford.

They should run the first train after a major delay non stop to London from the point it becomes full, that will stop too many people boarding. It will also mean the train right behind it doesn't have to wait ages at each station for the preceeding train having people cram themselves in like sardines.

Good idea. But the TOC's will never do that because it makes to much sense.

By the people boarding it actually delayed the train more because the doors would not shut!
