Wow, they really did a job on it, the ****s. Not even an 'artistic' attempt, just pure vandalism. Why go to the trouble, do they honestly not realise that it will just be cleaned straight off? I'm sure SWT will do a very thorough job of having it removed, so nothing too severe to worry about I guess, Any idea where it happened?

Why would SWT remove graffiti from an EMT Meridian ;)

But as others have said that's just vandalism pure and simple. Now artisitic graffiti I sometimes don't mind (I had a book years ago that contained dozens of pictures of graffiti from the New York Subway, they had some very impressive work there) but just tagging a train like that? Vandalism.

LOL a very good point indeed, my apologies! Although EMT might remove graffiti from an SWR set if they were borrowing it of course :D But yes, just pure idiocy.

- I accept that this ought perhaps to have read SWT :)

I saw this fly through Harlington with graffiti on, seems to of got worst shown it the picture:(. I'm assuming it got graffitied in the London area as 319's were also graffitied.

Why would EMT remove graffiti from a SWR (South Western Railway) train, and for that matter why would they be borrowing a train from India?

*I'll get my coat*

;)

...Oh dear oh dear, it's been a long day!! Let's just leave it to MML to remove the graffiti from their HST....Oh no, hold on.... :D

Anyway, I notice the BTP lurking in the pics there, any of these idiots get their collars felt?

It's not artistic in the slightest - it's pure vandalism. Tags are not pretty and quite frankly much of this so called "urban art" () is just unsightly.

Haha no worries, we all have our off days. And to be honest I've made some pretty spectacular mistakes on here in my time

We can only hope.

We can hope, but even if they were caught it's unlikely that they'd recieve much in the way of a decent punishment :-/ I'm not familiar with this depot, is it a common target for the yobs? It never ceases to amaze me how unsecure some railway premises are in this day and age.

If you think that looks bad, you should see the state of some 319 units (and they continue to run in service when covered from top to bottom in graffiti). The problem with graffiti on 319s got significantly worse about two years ago when they started operating Southeastern diagrams - Bellingham sidings being notorious for graffiti attacks especially when units are stabled overnight.

Were the 319s attacked? I thought EMT only used the sidings during the day.

Couldn't agree more. But at least at Bellingham you do get some artistic grafitti!

In all my years of using the MML, I can honestly say I've heard very little about trains in the sidings at Cricklewood being attacked. So I'd say it isn't.

With the state of some of the 319's over the past couple of years a coat of graffiti is probably a bonus in some cases! Perhaps that's whay they stay in service LOL!

To wander slightly off topic, how many different liveries are there on the 319's these days? I've not worked to BTN for a time now but I recall them rolling up in just about any colour scheme you like, Southern ones always seemed to be the smartest. Those still wearing remnants of T'Link blue/yellow looked bloody awful, very possibly the scruffiest trains I can recall seeing just about anywhere. Are they all nicely vinyl-wrapped now?

There are 4 liveries if I remember rightly. The FCC "Capital" livery, Thameslink Programme livery, Southern livery and finally the Swiss tourist board livery.

I hope when they get caught, they get the book thrown at them and also i hope 222017 mows then down!!!!!

Do the Nuclear Flask trains still stop at Cricklewood overnight sometimes? If one of them got tagged it would cause the anti-nuclear lot to wet themselves either with fear or excitement (depending on the reason for their anti-nuclear stance).

It don't see much graffiti on trains, apart from NXEC ones which always seem covered.

shame, I do like the look of the Meridens and their livery.

I can't stand the fcc livery so wouldn't call them nicely vinyled!

Btw there are still a lot of 319s in southern livery- thought they being repainted?
