Hi all,

Merry Christmas to everybody!
The team at BRT has been working very hard over the last few weeks to get a few things ready for Christmas. Now the time has come, its time to release a few presents, in the form of the Class 142 v2, the Aldwych branch v2.1, an LT1973 stock (un-refurb) update and a C67/77 v2 stock update.

Class 142 v2 (By Richard Helliwell, Martin Corbett & Zane Saxton)

The Class 142 v2 ** has been significantly modified since v1 (which to be fair was incomplete when released!). A complete rebuild of the lower panel, as well as upgraded switches, buttons, AWS and the TPWS panel have been undertaken by Zane Saxton. The performance of the train has been adjusted too, to allow for a better acceleration. Similarly, 7 power notches have now been implemented rather than 4, which is how the real train is. This allows drivers to start from a stop realistically with the power notches.

Aldwych branch v2.1 (By Kelvin Liu)

The Aldwych branch v2.1 has also been significantly upgraded, with brand new photographic textures at stations and in the tunnels. I am sure Kelvin can explain in much more detail what was involved in the update.

LT1973 (un-refurb) v2 (By Richard Chusney & others)

The LT1973 (un-refurb) train has had some new sounds implemented as ell as some graphical updates to accompany Aldwych v2.1.

C69/77 v2.5 (By Richard Chusney & others)

The C69/77 v2.5 has been upgraded with some minor panel improvements.

** - The Class 142 v2 has no connection to the Class 142 no. 142088 which was recently released at BVE Railnetwork. Although Mr. Saxton was heavily involved with the Class 142 v2, his train is by no means connected to the BRT project.

On behalf of BVE Routes & Trains, please do enjoy these downloads, and have a very happy Christmas!

Cheers,

Thanks Rich!
Tremendous work, and a Happy Xmas to you and all the programmers who work so hard to make BVE what it is.
Best regards, Alan.

** - The Class 142 v2 has no connection to the Class 142 no. 142008 which is currently in W.I.P at BVE Railnetwork. Although Mr. Saxton was heavily involved with the Class 142 v2, his train is by no means connected to the BRT project.

Rich,

It's 142 088, not 008.
Oh, and it's already been released!

Thanks!

Wait ages for a BVE 4 'Pacer', then three come along at once, with an update to one soon after. We are spoilt :p

I typed to message out in Word a few days before posting it, in which time 088 was released! Forgot to change it! :p;) Sorry mate! :)

Due to an error with the train, a new version is now available which correct it. Version 2.1 is now available to download, and should be installed to exactly the same place. Please click 'Yes' when prompted to overwrite files.

Enjoy!
