This item is an escorted day out for two persons on Liverpool's Merseyrail and features the undermentioned highlights. The RBF is grateful to Merseyrail for their generosity in organising this event.

1. Cab ride on one of Merseyrail's Electric Multiple Units.

2. Visit to the Network Rail/Merseyrail Integrated Electronic Signalling Control Centre at Sandhills.

3. Visit to Kirkdale Traincrew & Carriage Stabling Depot and Wash Plant.

4. The day will include complementary lunchtime refreshments and transport assistance from anywhere in the UK to and from Liverpool.

All proceeds go to the Railway Benefit Fund.

Have to say that I think this is an excellent offer, I think the asking price is around £80, (so £40pp).
Might not have much longer before the 507/508s are gone...

This is not the first time this has been offered, last time, a friend and I won the day out and had an excellent time of it.

Cab Ride Lime St to Kirkdale with one of the DSM's, tour of the depot with one of the Bosses there, back to lime st for a slap up lunch with one of the Controllers, then to Sandhills for a couple of hours. An Excellent Day. learnt a lot

even offering transport to and from Liverpool, wonder if its a staff car to pick you up? Wonder what it would be like if you lived in John O' Groats
