Metrolink

Today I was thinking about new Metrolink extensions and,
Romiley could do with a Metrolink connection. It has 4tph to Manchester Piccadilly but is isolated to most other parts of Manchester.
So I have done some research about possible routes, and I have thought out a possible route. From Romiley the trams could run to Altrincham, MediaCityUK, or somewhere on the South Manchester Line.
Starting from Piccadilly the trams should follow the existing line to just before Velopark with a station at Ashburys further south on Alan Turing Way next to the station. The track would turn left onto the A57 until the existing Belle Vue Station , where from the existing heavy rail line could be converted to Metrolink. At Belle vue Platform 2 could be converted to Romiley bound services and the rail be rebuilt on the path next to it. A new platform towards Manchester to be built. The tram line would then move on to the existing track bed to Bredbury. After Bredbury it would run down the trackbed for another half a mile until a small field next to the A627 where it the track could be ramped up and then join the A627 and then travel along the B6104 to Romiley Town Centre. The stops on this line would be Reddish North, Bredbury, Belle Vue, Ryder Brow and Ashburys. What do you think about this proposal and would you consider any other routes to reach Romiley? Furthermore do you think this is feasible or economic? Do you think a stop at Belle Vue should be scrapped and would you add any additional stops on the line?
