I enjoyed my first visit to Midsomer Norton station on an open day on Sunday 28th July. They have done an excellent job of rebuilding the station and the extension of track closer to Chilcompton tunnel. The line is not very long but taken at a steady pace allowing for a relaxed trip to the end of the line and back. It is also track circuited throughout.
There is a good mixture of static stock with a small museum and buffet coach. It is also very nice to see the the once famous signal box replica showing the colourful station as it once was.
