This is a bit silly. Check this for me please.

I have Cov - New Street down as 18m 74c.

I also have New Street - Crewe as 52m 55c.

COV-BHM is indeed 18m74c

BHM-CRE is 52m55c.

Which therefore means I must have mis-read the page earlier, as that makes COV-CRE via BHM 71m49c.

Crewe - Stoke is 15m 2c.
Stoke - Nuneaton via Stafford is 52m 48c.
Nuneaton - Euston via Weedon is 97m 10c.

So I make that 164m 60c.

Would anyone be able to assist me the following requests please?

Exeter SD -> Reading (via Westbury station)
Exeter SD -> Reading (not via Westbury station, use of Westbury avoider line)

And could somebody just confirm:

Thatcham -> Reading is 13.51

Thanks in advance!

Oops, I missed that when I previously looked it up, so yes 164m60c is correct (just double-checked) for starmill's request.

I assume that by the lack of posts from most people lately that we're all more or less caught up? Starting to get bored of making mileage enquiries for people now if I'm honest!

Well, I finish the year on 14,657. Pretty happy as it easily cleared my 10k target for the year, plus my subsequent increase to a 12k target - also nearly double 2013!

Don't think 2015 will prove to be as fruitful

Thanks very much Techniquest and Kite159 before you for these - much appreciated :)

After all the totting up, 2014 left me with 3479 UK miles and 2092 French miles, leading to a combined total of 5571. It's lower than my two previous years, but I expected that given that I've been a lot shorter of time this year.

2015 could go one of two ways - up until the end of uni I'll be going on the odd trip out, but again still relatively short on time, and after that who knows, any rail trips could depend on what job I have - if any! :|

Good grief some of you lot managed a lot! Really making me want to go all out this year, quite if all goes to plan my mileage for 2015 will be far, far superior to that of 2014! <D

No details available yet, as it will depend on whether I stop changing my mind about doing it or not. Good chance I'll keep it back for 2016 yet, or I may follow my instincts and use it for some insanely brilliant multi-day trips in 2015! Of course, stay tuned for details in the trip report thread when the decisions are made! <D

There was me thinking I would get the bronze (last time I checked someone was in the lead with something like 58K miles)

TBH I haven't finished totting up mine yet, but doubt that it amounts to more than 1,000 miles so it won't affect the result. At the moment, I would hazard a guess that my 2015 mileage will be even less than this year at the current rate of knots :|

Apologies for indulging in some necromancy here - I was keeping a track of my mileages up to some point in the summer.

As I've learnt, I should have posted updates (quarterly at least) in this thread, so as I know how far I've got to when I've become sidetracked with various things, rather than having to go back to the beginning to start all over again and only posting the total figure so far in my profile. I've finally managed to complete the totals for 2014, however, it does not change the outcome of the top 20 positions that were posted earlier.

For information, I've copied and pasted the summary of my rail trips below. The Croydon Tramlink mileage I got from Wikipedia (assuming the network length is correct at 17 miles) and multiplied by 2, as I've not doubled back anywhere except to cover branches from a junction. A notable change for 2015 is that I no longer do GLC - PYG/JHN journeys since separating from my partner, but I am doing monthly bashing to compensate for it.
