Morning all,
Reviewing some of my past travels and I think I've written down a wrong mileage.
In February 1989 I travelled up from Euston to Glasgow Central behind 87024 on 1S63.
The train was sent via Bescot. I have written down in an old book the trip was 456 miles.
But using Rail Mileage Engine (my books are at home) I've worked it as being 406.55 miles.
A fair old difference.
Euston - Stechford 108m 63ch
Stetchford - Stafford 30m 17ch
Stafford - Glasgow Central 267m 55ch
Total 406m 55ch
Anyone clear up the discrepancy please ?
