Chiltern Railway will be running the Aylesbury to Quainton Shuttle

Quainton Road is the home of Buckinghamshire Railway Centre.

The Diesel timetable has been arranged to connect with the Marylebone train both ways at Aylesbury.

Trains from London to Quainton Road will depart from Marylebone Station at 27 minutes past every hour from 09.27 to 15.27, connecting at Aylesbury, arriving at Quainton Road Station on the hour between 11.00 and 17.00.

Trains from Quainton Road to Marylebone will depart from Quainton Road at 05 minutes past every hour between 11.05 and 17.05, connecting at Aylesbury, arriving at Marylebone Station at 33 minutes past every hour between 12.33 and 18.33.

Adult price is £12.00 Inculding entry to Buckinghamshire Railway Centre

Traditionally it always has and, as they now have a choice of two, I would be very surprised if it wasn't one of them.

They could have done with pairing up the bubble cars today. 55034 was completely wedged all day.

There is a proposal (and funding, I believe) to extend Chiltern's Marylebone - Aylesbury service to Milton Keynes and this will pass through Quainton Road.

Anyone know if it's proposed to stop some of these trains at weekends? This could replace the bubblecar shuttle and also provide a link from the north.

It's probably too early to have this sort of detail.
