Summary Line-side fire at Wembley Stadium
Time reported 14 Jul 13:02
TOC(s) affected Chiltern Railways
Route affected London Marylebone - Wembley Stadium - West Ruislip - Denham - Gerrards Cross - Beaconsfield - Aylesbury
Description Train services between London Marylebone and Denham are being disrupted due to a line-side fire at Wembley Stadium. Train services between London Marylebone and West Ruislip are suspended until further notice, Chiltern Trains advise passengers to travel via the London Underground. A train shuttle service will operate between West Ruislip and Denham. Road transport will operate between Beaconsfield and Amersham
Easements London Underground are accepting Chiltern Trains tickets between West Ruislip and London Marylebone
Updates

04:11 Disruption to services will continue on Friday 15 July 2005. Due to further developments there is currently no estimate for normal services to resume
So if you want to go to Birmingham on Chiltern, you have to get a time-consuming Central Line train to West Ruislip, a slow coach from there and by the time you get to Princes Risborough you should've been in Birmingham!

But you can't take Silverlink any more thanks to the SRA. And don't even consider going on the WCML right now as it's shut due to a "security alert at Milton Keynes Central".

There is NO estimate for any of the disruptions to end.

Why don't they just suspend the whole line so no more problems can happen?!

It's not really a silly idea (its actually very simple and would work), anyway, why divert them via Banbury, that'd make the journey longer than taking an extra slow bus!

Passengers for Birmingham from London are better off going from Euston, for intermedidate stops, go to Banbury from London Paddington and Change
