Right, we haven't had a game for a while, as noted in this rather sternly worded rebuke by a Mrs Trellis of North Wales, which has affixed to it this letter:

Dear Xxxx,

Why are we not allowed to talk about you any more? I can't for the life of me Imogen why...

You're disappointedly,
Mrs Trellis

Right, on with the game and we're going to be using Mortimer's variation version 4, recently released by PriceWaterhouseCooper. But, as an extra incentive to rack up a good degree of points early on we're going to strongly enforce zone 7-9 stations count double but put you in Nidd if used within two moves either side of a diagonal.

Somebody please start!

Honestly, stay on top of the rules! Are you going to nitpick or play?

I still don't get this game. But, seen as that's the point...

I think there is a way out of Bayswater. And that "way" is Rayners Lane.

I'm afraid that breaks the no "lane" on turns which are a multiple of three rule, sorry Ivo...

What?

If mine was a multiple of three then so was Headstone Lane!

And Headstone Lane isn't even on the Underground.

Are you quite sure about that? ;)

Definitely.

Maybe you should sit it out for a while, and join in when you've got more of an idea of the rules; Mortimer v4 is a tricky blighter to get the hang of, but I'm sure you'll pick it up.

Anyway... Maida Vale

Ah... are we allowing references to combustion then? Sorry, I've lost my original copy of Mortimer 4...

Is there a copy of the rules somewhere? I think I could enjoy this, but as it stands I don't have the foggiest what is going on.

I'm sure it's allowed, I remember reading it in the appendices. A combustion reference can be played a maximum of twice, but not in the same round.

That's an easy one. Northolt.

I can't help but think we are going round in circles though. We need a good play to open the field up a bit
