Whilst going through ideas for new quizzes recently, the Quizmasters were quite startled to discover a letter from a Mrs Trellis of North Wales.
It reads:
Dear UKPylonForums,

Why do you insist on being so far away? As you know I cannot use replacement bus services.

Yours sincerely,
Mrs Trellis

All this reminded us that it is about time we had another game of Mornington Crescent.

Following personal appeals from Boris Johnson to ensure games are financially sustainable, this round will be using McDonalds McMornington Crescent™ rules. (Those from the old school will notice striking similarities with Standard Oldfield but with references to Burger King strongly discouraged.)

The game begins at Charing Cross. Good luck to all players.

Hmm an interesting starting point certainly not used often in McMornington! I will say Finsbury Park...

Alas, Fairlop also puts you in Nidd, unless someone now rescues you with a reverse double backflip.

I'll "go large" with Great Portland Street. Are Thameslink stations wild in this version of the rules?

whilst i am fundamentally opposed to the rampant commercialism that now stalks our fine national game i have decided the only way to change the system is to bring it down from within.

Therefore, sir, i see you Great Portland Street and raise you a Euston Square.

Not many options from there, but as it's not a Tuesday or a Friday, I believe Perivale is a legal move.

Oh goody - another game with Byzantine rules for me to get my head around!

As a newcomer I may be misunderstanding the rules, but since Leaf Fall Season is now at an end, and there appears to be no engineering work on the Waterloo & City Line today, I believe I therefore am able to legitimately play Pimlico (since I have just renewed my passport!)

Well being old and decrepit I quite fancy digging up the past with a move to Aldwych

Playing by the Hackney Carriage Society Rule book, which prevents me going south of the river, I'll have to do a U turn to Heathrow Airport

The Pimlico Proviso, although notorious, is in the original metropolitan rules, and therefore may be ignored.

Barking is what deer do to trees, so the next stop must be White Hart Lane!
Following on from other animals not found in burgers then I'll play an Elephant & Castle.

That opens up the possibility of Totteridge & Whetstone, but that would be dangerous so I'll play safe with Vauxhall.

I believe that since this isn't a Leap Year, the Dagenham Rules allow me to move via Ford to Poplar.
