MR 59003

hey up,

Does anyone know whats happened to the colourful 59003? I remember seeing it going around Westbury often in the green, white, red roof MR livery, but has it been involved in a crash or incident? just 59003 isnt out working anymore, nor is it in the fleet lists anymore! anyone heard why its dissapeared?

Its over in Germany

In mid-1997 Foster Yeoman No. 59003 was modified and sent to Germany to operate for a new company jointly owned by Foster Yeoman and DB Cargo to operate high-capacity aggregate trains to various major construction sites. Before the loco was transferred to Germany via the Channel Tunnel, it was repainted at Eastleigh Works into a blue and red livery and received a number of technical modifications, including a high level headlight above the cab windows to conform with European operating standards. In 2001 this loco was sold to UK-based Heavy Haul Power who are now a major player in German private freight operations.
