My Christmas present

66513 from Hattons. Lovely smooth and quiet runner.

Also I have test run my model of 66587 for the first time, It arrived in June or July after being ordered Christmas Day 2019.
Unfortunately this model does not run as smoothly as 66513, it’s also a lot nosier.
This is the first Freightliner 66 I drove.

I hope to start a build one day.
I have only recently finished totally refurbishing/rebuilding the house, we have had a complete new roof with room in loft trusses fitted. This will give me a area of around 15ft x 25ft.
I need to save some money first.

That sounds like an excellent bit of space to work with.

They both look like really nice models - as is to be expected from a modern example! I did think about going for a Hattons 66 for Christmas but after I'd heard about so many issues with them, I thought against it. I look forward to seeing a layout develop at some point - sounds as though you have plenty of space.
