Please note - We have permission from the forum staff to post this here.

MyTrainTicket has an exciting opportunity for potentially 2 developers to join our existing small agile team and become part of a greenfield project.

Through other interests connected with our company, we generally advertise jobs through the usual recruitment channels but due to the connection with rail, we are posting here to see if anyone is interested.

The ideal candidate should have a proven track record for delivering large distributed solutions utilising the latest Microsoft .NET technologies and techniques. Experience with ordering or eCommerce systems as well as data management and transformation would be of benefit.

The role would preferably suit someone who classes themselves as a back-end developer. Although some front-end web development is required, the focus of this role is on data.

Core Technology in use

· C# .Net Core 2+

· Unit and integration testing (xUnit, Moq)

· Restful API design and implementation

· SQL Server 2016/sp1, MySQL Aurora, EF Core, T-SQL, database migrations, stored procedures

· Web including ASP.net MVC, Razor, Kestrel, middleware, JQuery, Bootstrap, css, html and other JS frameworks

· Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence etc)

Desired Technology

· Amazon Web Services (CloudWatch, EC2, KMS, Lambda etc)

· Distributed Frameworks such as Akka.net

· Payment Gateways

· TeamCity, CodeDeploy, Powershell

· Security Aware (ciphers, encryption, signatures, hashing, masking, padding, JWT, Key Management)

· Extract Transform & Load, Big Data, Redshift

Therefore we are looking for people that have experience with the above in mind, although we will of course consider people who have an overall and general understanding and a willingness to show that they are able to learn and adapt quickly with the right support and development.

Based in Stafford, core working hours are 9am-5.30pm Monday to Thursday and 5pm Friday with an hour for lunch and all the tea and coffee you can drink! Occasional Pizza, Curry and Fish & Chips working lunches are thrown in too!

If you are interested, then please let me know and we’ll look to arrange a meeting or call to discuss this opportunity further.

Is this job onsite in Stafford or would remote be acceptable?
