Evening all

I have now started adding the Scottish steam photos to my website starting with the NBR D11 Scottish Directors, with some amazing names
Bailie MacWheeble, Baron of Bradwardine, Johnathon Oldbuck, Edie Ochiltree, Lord Glenallan, Captain Craigengelt, The Lady of the Lake,

and my favourite Laird of Balmawhapple

Just found you earlier post...thanks. Never saw D11 running, just a few in store (very elegant locos). Interestingly, (well that's to taste!) I wanted more info on the D10s the other day, and they too found their way to Edinburgh area during WWII, though mainly shedded round Sheffield.

They too had interesting names...mainly Directors of the GC I guess: Purdon Viccars, Walter Burgh Gair and Worsley-Taylor. The last was withdrawn in October '55 (Sir Edward Fraser).

I am indebted to the superbly detailed LNER Info site. Just google 'D11 steam loco' and hey presto, hours of endless detail on all LNER locos etc.
