Does anyone have any pointers to articles on the netkous viaduct? Particularly regarding cost per KM of building it and the time compared with ordinary surface tram.
Is the Fishnet actually structural or just for decoration of safety?

The Netkous viaduct was needed to be able to connect the RandstadRail light rail network (coming from Zoetermeer) to the tram network of The Hague. Without it, it would've been impossible to traverse the city centre as the original tracks terminated in Den Haag Centraal.

The fishnet serves a structural purpose, it reinforces the strength of the structure.
