hi,any suggestions on how to get a transfer between depots?trying to get to rugby,northampton,leicester or nuneaton,HR department are useless so anyone on here know anyone i can contact?cheersidea:#
just a basic trackman and handsignaller.northampton would be ideal

You have to go through the internal application process, so lookout for jobs posted on connect.
Alternatively, ring up the local TSM and have a chat

Moving depots is a strange affair. Totally new area to learn, new staff to suss out, practices to change etc.
The lads are a laugh, but not it's not quite the same. :cry:

Try contacting the line manager of the depot you want to transfer to.. It should be quite easy to transfer depots/jobs etc. Im based at Rugby depot, but should be moving to either Northampton or Kettering, unless they give me a van.

None. I now work in the 21st Century rather than the 19th Century Victorian railway being run from Eastleigh.

Sometimes you need to ditch the work to rule attitude for the greater good, in this case my sanity.
What's the first thing a new manager does at a football club?

Or maybe just because you are a manager now? Toe the line and all that.

We have them too within the driving grade...stuff the management,aint doing that etc etc,then overnight their attitude changes as they become driver managers.
