Can someone clarify for me whether the £1.20 'add-on' fare is required to travel between Walsall and Rugeley TV if a £5.80 Network day tripper has been purchased.

The zonal rail map implies not (purple shaded area also valid with zone 5 tickets) but the wording of the add-on suggests it is required

" Available as an add-on to your networkDaytripper ticket and allows travel on all trains from the Network West Midlands area to the following stations, Landywood, Cannock, Hednesford, Rugeley Town and Rugeley Trent Valley. "

The add-on is required for the section outside the West Midlands County.

Zone 5 is green. The purple zone is not part of zone 5.

The purple zone is for holders of zone 5 ntrain (season) tickets. It does not form part of zone 5 which is green on the map.

The £1.20 addon fare is required for travel between Walsall and Rugeley TV

Thank you - final question

Does the £2 add on which is quoted below provide unlimited travel between all of the additional stations ?

"Available as an add-on to your network Daytripper ticket and allows travel on all trains from the Network West Midlands area to the following stations, Stratford-upon-Avon, Kidderminster, Leamington Spa, Lichfield and Warwick. Does not cover travel on the Coventry to Leamington Spa train line."

Yes. You are extending the validity of the all-day ticket, not just buying a return journey in or out.

Yes. The add-on ticket is issued:
Class: STD
Single/Return: SGL
Ticket Type: DTPR PLUS
From: DYTRIPPER ADD-ON
To: DAYTRIPPER PLUS
Route: AS ADVERTISED
Validity: SEE RESTRICTIONS.

Help! I find the web information about this product extremely confusing!

If you want to visit Rugeley, Stratford-upon-Avon, Kidderminster, Leamington Spa, Lichfield and Warwick which ticket do you need to buy??

Cheers!

I guess you could in theory (psst - it's £9)...

I didn't know that there were any add-ons besides that to Rugeley.

Oh yeah £9!

It's confusing because the Network Midlands website says an nTrain zone 5 ticket is valid to Rugeley. But the site above says you need an add on.

The Network West Midlands site has got to be one of the most difficult official transport site to find inof on despite the Making Travel Easy claim that appears everywhere.

the nTrain ticket is a season whereas the Daytripper is not. This is on the PDF version of the map but for whatever reason is not on the interactive map for whatever reason.

I see no reason why you can't have both addons.
