Amongst many model shops shutting their doors one final time, a new one has opened - The Model Train Centre in my hometown Nelson, Lancashire.
Situated above Clark’s ironmongers the shop, which opened around a month ago, has a vast selection of stock for both OO and N gauge. The shop, despite still waiting for a fair amount of more stock to arrive, is well filled with various locos, coaching stock, tools, electrical equipment, track, accessories and an impressive wall of Metcalfe models. What we don’t have in stock that you’re looking for, we can always make arrangements to get it in stock for you.
We will soon also be doing online mail orders and also loco repairs, decoder fitting and weathering.
We are open 9-5 Monday - Saturday and you can find either myself or Les, the owner, in there. There’s also a coffee machine for anyone wanting a drink too.
Hope to see some of you in there one day.
