New services or diversions - Huntingdon

Over the last few days I've noticed a few intermodal services rumbling past where I work (just north of Huntingdon) on the east coast mainline. Just wondered if anyone knew if they were being temporarily diverted or if they were going to become a regular thing?

There's a two week closure through Oxford going on at the moment, so you'll be seeing stuff like Leeds to Southampton that is running well off its normal route.

I saw a couple of freights going south through Hitchin yesterday - I assumed they had been rerouted due to the MML closure.

Yeah they would be the ones. Shame as I'm off work in a couple of weeks and could have taken a closer look.
