Received an e-mailing from UK Railtours the other day with brief details of a few new tours in the pipeline (bold is from the e-mail, rest are my own comments):
BOULBY on Saturday 1 September
Kings Cross, Potters Bar, Stevenage, Peterborough and York to the scenic Saltburn to Boulby branch, courtesy of Cleveland Potash Ltd
Apart from the Saltburn 150 trip last year which should've been steam but ended up at 47/57 due to a steam ban at the time due to dry weather, it's been a few yeas since any tour visitied the Boulby branch. Last time I did it was behind a pair of 37s in 1990.
POWER STATION LOOPS on Saturday 20 October
Euston, Watford, Milton Keynes, Rugby and Crewe to two power stations. Further info cannot be disclosed until final agreement is given.
Given the final pick-up, I suspect these will be different power stations to those visited by Pathfinder in January.
FURTHER DATES for Forgotten Tracks tours look like being Saturdays 3 November, 17 November and 15 December.
Ones to keep free in the diary I think!
