The International Railway Preservation Society hav just published a book to mark the 75th aniversery of the inaugeration of the Night Ferry Service of Wagons Lits sleeping cars that ran between London Victoria and Paris and Brussels. Yhis long lived service (finished 1980) was Britains only International Train, as the sleeping cars themselves travelled aboard the cross channel ferries. As the advert of the day said, "Sleep your way to Paris". This book is available from the IRPS website. irps-wl.org.uk. It is 120 pages of first hand accounts and numerous photograghs, of which many haven't been published before. The book is bi-lingual, the text being in both French & English. Price £17.99 Plus P & P.
