Does anyone know the engine for this weekends tour? 60009 was listed as a possible but with Hot box problems this week it sounds unlikely?

UKsteam.info is also showing 70013 on the Weymouth Seaside Express on Sunday - it can't do both! 70013 is currently at Southall - closer to Bristol. It appears 60009 has made it to Carnforth this morning to do a loaded test to Hellifield (looks like the hot boxes have been cured).

So if today's test goes OK, you could well get 60009 on the North Wales Coast on Sunday.

Heard it go through Warrington this morning at 06.45ish. So it looks good for the weekend, assuming the rest of the days tests run ok. Is there a back up engine at Crewe?

I saw this train today, to confirm it was 60009 with 47207 as a support at the end of the train.

The Union looked in great condition in the rare Welsh sunshine.
