Can’t say for certain but I don’t recall seeing any nameplates/stickers on the unit so looks to of been de-named.
im guessing that if 333011 has been de-named then 333007 will probably be de-named

Is the refurbishment programme causing or exacerbating a shortage of 333s? 1817 Skipton-Leeds was 158759 today and there appeared to be 2 or 3 321/322s out through Keighley today as well.

That's good, does it still retain its name 'Olicana'?

Nope, it has been denamed

I don't think 333015 has re-entered service yet and with 333012 being out at Holbeck it isn't helping with the EMU shortage. 158754 was also on the Leeds-Doncaster route today

158754 was also on the Leeds/Doncaster all day on Saturday too.

Thanks

A 333 should really run Leeds to Doncaster's if they don't have enough 32x's IMHO and They should really send a DMU to work triangle services. (the reason I say this is because the 333s are more than capable of doing that route)

Generally speaking, the Aire and Wharfe services out of Leeds are far busier than the Doncaster stoppers which is why the latter tend to be the ones first replaced with DMUs.

Probably also comes down to crew knowledge as I don’t think Doncaster crews sign 333’s but both Leeds and Doncaster crews will sign 158’s

Apperantly from what I heard is that Leeds drivers that work on 333s are also trained to work on the 32xs, it could be capable of being completely run by leeds crews it could be an issue but I also think that Doncester crews should really be trained on them in case something like this happens.

You can’t sign a particular traction type ‘just in case’. If there are no crew diagrams on a specific type of traction then you just don’t sign them. It costs a fortune to train drivers and conductors on a unit type.

Sat on 333001 currently; the first refurbished one I’ve been on. Have to say the moquette seat covers are a massive improvement over the dross Northern were using before.

I think today's been the first day that I've had refurbed units into and out of Leeds- 333011 in and 333013 out.

Odd short-notice unit swap at Leeds though- the 1703 Ilkley was all ready to go with a few minutes to departure formed of 333004, when a woman (passenger) boarded and told everybody it had been swapped with the Bradford train which follows it. Nothing formally announced, but the driver of the "new" Bradford train confirmed it, so everybody piled off with about 2 minutes left. At least one person wanting the Bradford train having to change at Guiseley s a consequence. Seemed strange as as both services seem to have run normally thereafter unless the refurbed unit was being taken to Ilkley for promotional purposes or something.

Yes, typical as I was at the station earlier than usual and had a nice seat on the original train!

Currently sitting in carriage 74475 on the 0748 Menston-Leeds, which I think makes this 333015.
