Hi
It’s very difficult to say as a number of duties are interchangeable with 144’s and 150’s but it’s generally around 2-3 mostly down in the Shrewsbury Rd sidings but occasionally between the platforms .

On Tuesday morning 142038 was noted at Broad Green on the 0542 Wilmslow to Liverpool Lime Street. This is a booked 319 turn. The rest of the diagram was 0757 Liverpool Lime Street to Manchester Victoria.

142078 on the 17.32 from Beverley to Bridlington, ex 17.18 from Hull. There had been a unit failure earlier in the day, hence the appearance of the 142...

144 013 on the 1150 Castleford to Sheffield, from Leeds. Internally it is is poor, the seats are well worn and some looked to be leaning too far forward. If this is one of those to be kept into next year some attention is needed.
The 1043 arrival from Huddersfield was a 144 instead of the usual 153. Also the Sheffield-Leeds we passed near Normanton was a 142 and I saw another 142 south of Barnsley. Still plenty of Pacers around our way.

There's a new thread for 144s, though it looks like all 23 will be kept in traffic beyond December so anyone still needing any for haulage will have plenty of time.

The seats in the non-PRM 144s don't look as if it's possible for them to lean too far forward, they look as if they'd break if much forward pressure was put on the backs.

EDIT: it seems the 144 thread has been deleted... whilst I don't wish to question the decisions of moderators, when threads vanish without trace (unless they're obviously spam like those Chinese ones that appear overnight regularly) it can be a bit confusing!

Set swap at Sheffield to a 158 as we speak. If there's no sprinters available they occasionally make it as far as Chesterfield.
