Northern Class 142 sightings

At Sheffield this afternoon:

144016 - 2L20 - 15:02 to Leeds (Went from Platform 1b)
142009 - 2R69 - 15:05 to Adwick (2nd unit, coupled with 144003, which was being coupled when I got into Sheffield, this had Leeds on the blinds at 1st but changed to Adwick, not sure if it was originally going to be the 15:02 as it was in 3A/3B where this usually goes from?)
142068 - 2N21 - 15:15 to Leeds via Bolton on Dearne (1st unit)
142079 - 2N21 - 15:15 to Leeds via Bolton on Dearne (2nd unit)

I'm getting in early, as I'm really hoping to finish my Northern 142's on my day off on Friday. Would appreciate any sightings of 142023 & 142088 between now and then!

I'm hoping they are at least working in the same rover area as one another.

Spotted today in Middlesbrough were.. 142017/26/63/68/90 and 096. Pretty sure I saw 071/8 also.

The 142 parked at the south end was 142067 (assuming you are referring to the one that had its lights on). This worked the 1754 to Retford and return, then the 2015 to Leeds.

Also seen at Sheffield from lunchtime onwards were 142020 / 039 / 048 / 064 / 086. 142039 was on a Hope Valley stopper to Manchester, all others were at the east end from or towards Meadowhall etc.

144's seen were 007 / 015 / 022 / 023 amongst others - don't pay as much attention to them to be honest.

The 142 parked at the south end was 142067 (assuming you are referring to the one that had its lights on). This worked the 1754 to Retford and return, then the 2015 to Leeds.

That's the one, thanks (it's not for personal use, I'm just in Sheffield/Doncaster a lot and figured I could spend the time I'd otherwise be stood waiting for a train home/to work noting 142 numbers for here)

I remember that the Mon-Sat 10.57 Hexham-Danby service was normally a 142.

I also remember that the 15.30 Newcastle - Whitby service was normally a 142.

Any others? Are they generally booked as such or is it fairly random?

I suspect that the unit that does the first two trips does the last one also. That been the case then that would suggest that the Whitby line has been all 142s today?
