Gotta admire someone prepared to go to those depths of self-flagellation....I'm in Morpeth now waiting for 063! Going to take it all the way up to Carlisle. I'm so happy, I thought I had missed my chance to do this again! It's on the 14:55 from Morpeth.
Fantastic! I'd be doing the same if I were over that way enjoyI'm in Morpeth now waiting for 063! Going to take it all the way up to Carlisle. I'm so happy, I thought I had missed my chance to do this again! It's on the 14:55 from Morpeth.

The north west ones will be staying till February, only the north east ones have been withdrawnFollowing the Class 142 cull at the weekend, I was surprised to see one on the 12:35 Kirkby to Manchester Victoria service today. Unfortunately, I wasn't close enough to see the unit number.
In Post 1425 it was stated that only 12 Class 142s were in use on the whole Northern network today. The north west ones will be staying till February, only the north east ones have been withdrawn
Yet they are still short forming services? Typical northernIn Post 1425 it was stated that only 12 class 142s were in use on the whole northern network today.

That's about the sum of it!I suppose Northern can't win. They get slated by the press for retaining some Pacers longer than planned, but on the other hand they'd get slated for overcrowding or cancellation of services due to unit shortages.
Any Pacers out in the North East today?
