Caught the 0920 Piccadilly (Plat 1) to N. Mills, 051 was nearest the stops. 004 on the front ran into platform 2 at about 0918, so for about 2 minutes they were side by side at the stops. 004 on Rose Hill trains at least in the morning, 55708/754 on 1413 Victoria to Kirkby. Told that next week the 142 will go to Blackburn instead of Kirkby, and the Rose Hill & New Mills workings might finish end of this week, but really who knows???

Could be till the end of this week, could be till the end of may
Could be March as well another rumour in the mill for when the first 769 comes out releasing two 150 from southport alderley edge services to replace the142 on the romiley
Al'so tonight pls note 142051 got detachment at
Manchester Piccadilly at 1930. Still there at 2030 on buffers platform 3 as a solo 142. It didn't remain on the 1949 Sheffield. Unless it got detached for a reason. It might not be on tomorrows 1749 Sheffield or 0940 rose hills in morning. Interesting to see what happens with that one.

That would explain why 150139 was solo at Marple heading to Sheffield at 20.11

. Nothing wrong with that one 142051 performed well. However 142004 wheelflats issues have been replaced by a leaking in roof with rain. However not as bad as the chilterns 168001 to 168005 series
units during heavy rain. Or could be no one could be bothered with lock outs tonight

142078 and 150129 on the am kirkby.
This week's usual diagram today is 142004 with the 150112. 142004 Wheelflats sorted. But has a leaking in roof slightly. That's the mcv side today.

Saturday maybe not. Might get a odd lose one on a southport working. Or kirkby diagram that ends southport sat night ready for Monday 0648 Blackburn. But for next week's work who still knows. 142 on Saturday is like gold dust now there really only week peak trains. However 142 are good in Wales.

And the comfy warm 142051. We're heading to Worksop according to the passenger information display! It's nice to see so many Pacer fans out this evening. Keep the faith boys and girls!

I may well have been next to you on the platform knelt down photographing 045, having had a wee ride on it from Hathersage for nostalgia's sake.

142045 was in Manchester Piccadilly today, and as I might not get the chance again, I had this done

I missed 051 last night as it was left behind at man Picc.
I thought the same had happened tonight. The information screens at New Mills Central at 20:17 showed a 2 car formation on the 19:49 Piccadilly - Sheffield. Luckily they were wrong.

078 was out last Saturday, and we were lucky to get two nice long rides on it: Manchester Victoria to Blackburn and Clitheroe to Rochdale. I figured that might be the end of 142s in the north for me. But still they carry on. What would be VERY useful, as someone who lives in London, would be some sort of indication as to when the *very* last day will be. I know that's probably unknown right now but some sort of advance warning, or even a tour, would be great for those of us who don't live in the area!
