Northern Class 144 Sightings

These days I'm going for a 142 and end up on a 144. Seeing as they're both nearly life-expired I thought another Pacer thread appropriate ...

Today:
144004 - 18:05 Sheffield to Adwick

144020 on 2H16 12:18 Leeds to Lancaster.

144012 was on the 1503 Huddersfield to Castleford, but has been cancelled.

Judging by the noise it just made as it pulled back out of platform 5, with good reason!

Thought this could do with another go, seeing as most of the services preciously worked by 142s are being done by 144s (and 150's and 158s, at random).

144011 - Passing through Bentley towards Doncaster at around 15:50

Can this thread be moved into Traction mods?

144009+144005 ended up on the Doncaster-Adwick part of the 15:05 Sheffield to Adwick. 144009 was meant to be on the 15:23 Adwick to Sheffield but this was cancelled, possibly due to a faulty light.

Just that these sadly will be to go next within the next few months or so off this year. Just thought a new thread should be done for any sightings off 143 and 144 . Routes and services observed including any rare routes still seen on.

TfW’s 142s and 143s can run on their own or in doubles but GWR’s 143s have to be with a compliant 150 at all times. I’m planning to make the most of these pacers while I can.

For 144 sightings just go to Doncaster and/or Sheffield and you shouldn’t be disappointed.

Nope, part of the formation of 144008. The center car is heavily corroded, as is 144008 and will most likely not be in service again.

Aah no, it should move again, even if it is just on its way for scrap.

A three car 144 was on a Knottingley-Leeds service at about 9.45am today. Seen whilst in the queue at Featherstone Level xing. Too far back for a number.
First one I've seen locally for a couple of weeks, it's been 150s or 158s on all the Knottingley services I have seen or ridden on.

Don't see one for weeks then there everywhere. 5car 144 combo on the 1530 off Castleford to Leeds, started from Knottingley. No numbers again but no doubt would be on the 1600 from Leeds back to Knottla and then the rest of the diagram.
