Northern Class 321/322 Withdrawal

321903 last worked 29-3-20. Moved from Neville Hill to Wakefield Prison Sidings 30-3-20. Moved to Bradford Forster Square 9-4-20.

Local and inter-urban rail services within West Yorkshire and the surrounding areas, part funded by Metro, were advertised under MetroTrain brand. In the 1990s, some Class 144, 155, 158, 308, 321 and 333s were painted in Metro livery. All were later repainted in Northern Rail livery. Some of the 144s and 155s were originally purchased by the WYPTE but have since been sold to Porterbrook. Metro retain ownership of the 158 and 321s which are leased to the Northern franchise holder

That is not correct. The 158/9 and 321/9 fleets are owned by Eversholt. The 158s were owned by WYPTE, but were sold to Eversholt around the same time as the 144 centre cars and 155s were sold to Porterbrook. As far as I know the 321s have always been owned by BR, then Eversholt.

It should also be pointed out that 321901/2 are now leased to Greater Anglia.

So 321903 is currently in one of the platforms at Bradford? Of course it goes when there's a lockdown in place just my luck!

322483 moved Neville Hill to Heaton 19-4-20
322485 went a week earlier on 12-4-20.

321903 has departed Bradford FS, don’t know where to. Only 322484 is in platform 1 at Bradford FS now.

2 more 331s are due over on the 15th May from Allerton so that will make the 321/2's surplus to requirements. Another class of northern train bowling out quietly

Had at least one last year, number unknown. Had a couple Rugby to Birmingham circa 1999. Thought they were a bit of a shed even 20 years ago. Won't miss them too much. 333s and 331s of far superior quality plus air-conditioned.

I have 4 car 331 102, 103, 105 as at Alkerton. Anyone confirm?
If I'm correct. 2 moving east would just leave 1 four car at Allerton.

That's right, they may as well transfer the final 4 car across unless there's a set diagram in the west which is suitable or it's used for training
