Just wondering if anyone else on here applied for this back in August and if so how their application is progressing?

I passed the assessments and was waiting to see if I got offered an interview but then got an email saying my application was being put on hold due to no selection days taking place in the near future. I asked a friend who works for them who found out it was due to Covid closing the training centres which I was fully expecting anyway.

I find it a bit odd though that they continue to post conductor jobs for various depots if they can’t progress any applications.

Has anyone else got any further or even been told if they’ve been unsuccessful yet?

I had an interview back in January for conductor out of Middlesbrough and didn't hear anything for months, I am now being sent for a medial next monday and have a start date for training early december, there is another person on here starts today so training centres must still be open even if at a reduced capacity perhaps

At least that’s a good sign. I imagine there is quite a back log of applications both successful and pending.

I wish they had at least decided if I was getting an interview before putting my application on hold. I bet it’s been very frustrating for you waiting since January!

It has been a while I actually have my medical 2 days short of the 9 months you can stay in the talent pool before having to be re-interviewed so I am pleased about that

That’s lucky! Perhaps they’ve been leaving it as long as they can to space courses out. Not the best situation to be in though, being left to the last minute not knowing if you’re application will expire.
