Most 143’s and all 144’s are owned by Porterbrook. 3 vehicles have been donated from the competition. Now, could be completely wrong here, but is it possible that 144017 (3 vehicles) is to be the donation unit? It is classed as preserved but no clue as to by who or where it will be located.

Since Wikipedia has it marked down as 142's that'll be the "prizes", surely that can't be right as its likely that it'll be the 143's / 144's, in which case Wikipedia is wrong.

No, there are some 143s that are franchise assets (three of the GWR sets and possibly some TfW ones).

For info the added later 144 centre cars as well as the 155s were purchased and owned by WYPTE although managed by a leasing company.
Sold af some time to the leasing presumably Portabrook.

Number 23 must be in decent mechanical condition. The bodywork is not ideal. Last time I worked her in November last year. I noticed the bodywork was quite poor. A few rust holes here and there. Number 68 is one of the best ones I've seen about. The window frames look quite decent with no rust apparent.
