Are there any diagrams that are regularly operated by the remaining 142s? Apologies if this appears elsewhere (or in another thread), but it seems to me like a continually changing picture.
Pls see 142 sightings I have put the two mcv ones on this thread from findings today. However that might change. Tfw Wales is probably the best. However it appears 142004 and 142058 spare with 142078 and 142090 runners today are staying. 2 spare and 2 in on mcv diagrams. However they are no longer believed to be booked on romiley side. However due to 4 at newton Heath T.M.D. I was told that on the romiley line. Not guaranteed but one 142 if short off units elsewhere might appear occasionally on a rose Hill x 1 diagramm only as a stp or vstp. Every now and then. But strongly note it's not guaranteed just can happen. But don't expect it to. As we know nothing is certain.

But it still can be done. Don't want to tie up thread to much ie for northern to hit the max. And Monday to Friday keep all 142s in service if not 3 and run one on romiley anyway for nostalgia purposes.

Sorry if this comes over as rude, but do we really need two separate lists from two different users on this one thread? They're all very long posts due to the number of units involved, and to be honest the version above with all the different coloured text, scrolling past on mobile gives me a headache!

I appreciate the effort you've put in to making the list, but I don't think we need two of them.

Would it make you happier if I put it in spoiler tags? I’m not going to stop posting it (unless an admin says I should) and to be fair I don’t think @NorthernSpirit will either. Most of the other people have said in the thread they are useful, your the only person who has complained.

Keep the list coming, it's interesting to read. My only positive feedback is that the green colour you use for certain units, e.g. 142001, is virtually impossible to read. It would be great if you could change that colour.

What colour would be better?

It was really just a suggestion (and I apologise for my tone, I was like a bear with a sore head!). I know how fiddly it can be to make these lists (my own previous attempt in another thread was beyond me!) and having two members effectively relaying the same information seems odd.

However I do appreciate the work put in by members compiling these lists, so if you and @NorthernSpirit are both happy to put the work in, then I retract my objection.

yep there definitely is a fault there :lol: Did 144020 end up dragging them for the final leg to gascoigne wood? all I heard was it was sent as a thunderbird
No idea. I heard on a discord server I'm on it made its own way there without any help, as the problem was only a loss in air pressure they just waited an hour for it to rise again.

It would appear that according to sources a pic of 142064 in the scrap heap at EMR Kingsbury has surfaced on social media though I can't find such image atm

Could it be 142054 that went to Kingsbury ex merseyrail unit

Looking at the unit number in the rubble, it is not very clear, but the end number is definitely a 4. It is definitely a Merseyrail unit. As 142044 was scrapped a while ago, it would have to be 142054.
