Essentially they plan to do nothing of any significance. Which is good, given the only thing they could do instead in the current political climate is make cuts.

Well, looks like Chathill lives on.... hurrah!

No mention of removing lightly used intermediate stations on the Tyne Vallley either.... let's hope no news is good news....

And what's this extract from the report all about???



4.1 There was a public commitment by Northern Rail to reduce the overall fleet size by three
Class 158’s by December 2005, and this has been delivered. As part of the Northern
review there was a specific analysis of the opportunity to release some additional rolling
stock units back to the ROSCO. The exact nature of the opportunity is commercially
sensitive and confidential.
