In this context (train planning) it would mean Short Term Plan, ie something that isn't in the WTT and has been added on a short term basis.

What is the WTT. Ha ha. Only three trains running between 17:00 and the end of the day from West Allerton to Lime Street. Two of those are 30 mins apart.

Anyone know when the next 158s and 170s are due to move from Scotrail to Northern? And the 156s for that matter. Is their release linked to the next phase of electrification in Scotland?

Does anyone know if those 170s already cascaded to Northern are in service with them yet?

I understand gw 153 370 and 377 are joining 305, 373, 390 with northern tomorrow Sun. All 5 are destined eventually as scotrail cycle carriers.

If the Fat Controller was still at his desk he’d be aggressively progressing relatively quick wins in the electrification of East Kilbride, Barrhead and Kilmarnock in the Glasgow commuter belt to free up a shed load of 156s for Northern, particularly as the 365s are readily available and 385s will be in service in the next few months. As we all know, he has taken early retirement...

Saw 370 and 377 pass through Leeds on their way to Neville Hill. Hope they are for Northern and not EMT even though they are just as desperate for additional stock!

In case this hasn't been reported, a class 323 was on driver training duties at Wigan North Western today. I guess this was 5Z53 to Allerton.

Darlington drivers have received a brief on Scotrail 156s last week. They have different brake blocks. Which indicates they should be in service around the NE anytime soon. The five 156s from Scotrail are to be based at Heaton. So putting 2 and 2 together ???

Only 4 of the 156s are heading south this weekend, the fifth one is staying in Scotland but heading for refurb.

I think that's all the 156s and 170s accounted for. Does anyone know where we are with 158s? I know at least one of the six(?) is in England has been used in Cumbria for some time.
