Today a transpennie service failed at mauldeth road causing line to be closed for a while. Whilst a rescue unit was sent from crewe any more information on this and what failed.

I do believe it was a Northern unit and NOT TPE.

Definitely Northern, TPE wouldn't send a train from Crewe seeing as they operate nowhere near there.

Vacuum Circuit Breaker. Complicated switch that connects the train to its pantograph.

Correction to above it just that a local report ie press said transpennie service. In actually was a northern service which. Failed apologies if it was . Just misunderstanding over a yet another press wrong statement. Should have said service
