They're supposed to go in between another 150 each, therefore they were probably envisioned to be refurbished along with the 150 they were going into. However, the idea to reform some 150/1's into 3 car trains using some /2's appears to have completely fallen by the wayside, with Wikipedia no longer mentioning it anywhere.how come 150209 wasn't refurbished straight after it arrived from GWR? you would have thought they would at least give it a toilet
However, platform extension plans on several routes are still based on the assumption of 60m formations... that's the joined-up thinking that the British railway industry is so famed for! They're supposed to go in between another 150 each, therefore they were probably envisioned to be refurbished along with the 150 they were going into. If there's a unit without the TrainFX system (auto announcements) in the consist, the method of work is manual announcements; using the TrainFX can prevent the cab to cab being used as the auto announcements cannot be overridden in the unit without the system.I'm on 158792 this morning, which is coupled to a 153 and the PIS is off. Is this as a result of the 153 being coupled to it, and surely this wouldn't now be allowed?
As far as I'm aware, that unit is just diagrammed as a standard 150 (I've certainly seen it around!)A 150 was running York - Leeds via Harrogate this evening, relating to dementia :-

Northern has named one of its trains in honour of the Bentham Line and the work carried out by the Leeds – Morecambe Community Rail Partnership (LMCRP) to create a dementia-friendly railway.
Not quite sure what it was doing on the Harrogate line if it was designed in honour of the Bentham line, are Northern really that tight on units?!
It spends quite a lot of time in the northwest, I have seen it lots of timesA 150 was running York - Leeds via Harrogate this evening, relating to dementia :-
