Didn't get the number, but there is now a 150 with what I assume is the complete refurb. Full PRM mods, moquette seating in two-tone blue, USB ports, CCTV and a complete interior and exterior repaint (or re-vinyl, to be pedantic).

They also have useless advertising screens. It seems a waste of an opportunity to connect them to the PIS, given that the currently fitted screens are dreadful.

how come 150209 wasn't refurbished straight after it arrived from GWR? you would have thought they would at least give it a toilet
They're supposed to go in between another 150 each, therefore they were probably envisioned to be refurbished along with the 150 they were going into. However, the idea to reform some 150/1's into 3 car trains using some /2's appears to have completely fallen by the wayside, with Wikipedia no longer mentioning it anywhere.

However, platform extension plans on several routes are still based on the assumption of 60m formations... that's the joined-up thinking that the British railway industry is so famed for!

I'm on 158792 this morning, which is coupled to a 153 and the PIS is off. Is this as a result of the 153 being coupled to it, and surely this wouldn't now be allowed?

If there's a unit without the TrainFX system (auto announcements) in the consist, the method of work is manual announcements; using the TrainFX can prevent the cab to cab being used as the auto announcements cannot be overridden in the unit without the system.

A 150 was running York - Leeds via Harrogate this evening, relating to dementia :-

https://www.northernrailway.co.uk/n...-train-to-recognise-dementia-friendly-railway

Northern has named one of its trains in honour of the Bentham Line and the work carried out by the Leeds – Morecambe Community Rail Partnership (LMCRP) to create a dementia-friendly railway.

Not quite sure what it was doing on the Harrogate line if it was designed in honour of the Bentham line, are Northern really that tight on units?!

As far as I'm aware, that unit is just diagrammed as a standard 150 (I've certainly seen it around!)

Does anyone know when did 323229 go to Wolverton - a quick search doesn’t turn up the date it went?

Thanks.
For interest returned 156 459 has been at Wolverton since 12th Nov 2019 and 323 229 since 23 Nov so I would hope theve got the full treatment rather than just PRM.

150102 on 1039 Crewe CS to Newton Heath.
150115 on 1404 Newton Heath to Crewe CS.
As I think both these have already been PRM'd its probably warranty work.
Anyone in the know as to which Northern units are in the various works - Ariva traincare Crewe, Wabtech Doncaster, Wabtech Kilmarnock, ? Wolverton etc.

150115 may receive the new seat covers and repaint whilst at Crewe

150228 and 150268 are at Kilmarnock, 150110, 150201, 150215 and 150218 are at Doncaster.

Thanks, Of the 150s I think that just leaves 150/ 111, 122, 209, 210, 226 awaiting entry to works for PRM mods with 6 in works.
156s still around 10 to PRM with 1 in works
158s all PRMed with around 4 in works.
