I saw the back of it so no idea what was the rest of the train or I'd hauled etc but the back was 319372

Interesting, many thanks. I just had a look at flickr now and it was indeed 319372 (in ex-Thameslink white livery with light blue doors), being hauled by 37884. If/When this train goes into operation, that would just leave 319373 the last remaining 319 in the /3 subclass left to be acquired by Northern.

I used to find 507021's updates on the refurbishment status very useful. The last was, I think, post 3472 on 15th May. As things are now quiet on this forum, does anyone know if he publishes them anywhere else?

I’ve seen a plain white 319 pass Longsight a few times in service since the weekend, I presume it’s 372?

More likely the most recent 319/4 Northern acquired. The exact number escapes me but the unit noted above most definitely has a first class section in place and majority 2+2 seating throughout, retaining its Thameslink white livery with light blue doors .

Indeed, props to 507021. Your hard work is much appreciated.

One interesting thing - Northern’s strategy for refurbing its 158s seems fairly apparent.

“Dave, how are we going to decide what order to do the 158s then? Condition? Miles travelled? Hours utilised? Routes covered?”
“Nah, just do ‘em in number order. Be reet.”

Likewise, thanks @507021 for the updates :D it can't be the easiest of tasks keeping track of it all, so it is greatly appreciated. Well done! ;)

Thanks mate. :)

I've noticed that 150209 is in the list, but 150212 is absent. Both of these are the odd coaches without the lavatory when their partner coaches were involved in accidents.

Both carriages are with Northern as one unit, which is numbered as 150209.

I’m pretty sure 150101 was sat outside Doncaster last week so may be in for PRM mods now, also sure I saw 150131 in service on LDS-NOT on Sunday!

Maybe somebody can confirm whether or not I was seeing things!

Has 150209 been in service with northern yet? I heard it was going to be coupled temporarily to a 153.

No. When it enters service, it will not be as 150209 as the vehicles will separate become centre cars in 150s.

If required, pairing it with a unit that has a toilet wouldn't be a terrible idea. However, this is Northern- So all it needs is a Pacer to throw a leg out and someone in control, not realising the 150 has no toilet, splitting that set up to cover. If the toilet-less set ended up on Leeds to Knottingley or Huddersfield it wouldn't be so bad (there'd still be a Twitter storm though!) but if it ended up on the Heysham Port run it could be a mess!

I have just seen 150131 at Salford Crescent working the service to Alderley Edge so it is in service now, in debranded FGW livery.

PS Many thanks to @507021 for maintaining the list, I also find it really interesting and useful.

It will be in service as 150209 and it will have its own self-contained diagram coupled to a 153 all day on Blackburn/Clitheroe-Rochdale services.

Does anybody have an idea when the first 158 with the new seats in will return? Obviously priority is PRM compliance and most likely going to be ironing boards anyway, but just wondering.

how many units don't have the finished interior

ie which units have plain blue seats or original purple seats but new livery ?

I am sure a 150 or too has the internal fittings a turquoise rather than yellow for instance

does bold equal finalized interior?
