Don't know if this has been posted?

Those who are interested in the Norwich Short Hauled set, maybe interested in a rail tour on 30/04 Top n Tailed 37's and 4x Mk 2's.
Norwich to Ely
Ely to Norwich
Norwich to Liverpool Street
Liverpool Street to Norwich.

kicks off at 1015 towards Ely, and ends at Norwich from London at 1821.

Sorry! The greenrailtravel address threw me.

(There's been a lot of 'fake' railtours advertised lately so assumed it was one)

Can you give me a example of one?
Sam

There was one advertised by a couple of teenagers down in the Devon / Cornwall area recently. Supposedly using a 159 hired in from SWT, claiming that SWT had route knowledge and they didn't need any conductor drivers etc to reach Plymouth and Penzance. All a bit pie in the sky really.

To be fair it did turn out to be partly genuine.

Looks a bit suspect?

I can see why someone might suspect it -
- the site is headed Abellio Greater Anglia, but is hosted on greenrailtravel.co.uk;
- it has no links back to any "official" Abellio/GA site (abelliogreateranglia.co.uk);
- the "terms & conds" link doesn't show you any terms and conditions;
- no phone/email details, only a web form and the postal address of AGA's business travel unit;
- the first page of the "fill in your details" part when you've added a ticket to the shopping basket isn't on a secure page (http, rather than https).

This has come from official sources!

Well that's okay then.

Could you provide a bit more on that? I can't actually find any reference to it on Facebook anymore.

Basically, some kids set up a 'Rail Preservation Society' but didn't register with companies house, nor with the Charities Commission. They then proceeded to set up a free-host website and Facebook page, where they promoted an exceptionally bland railtour for the bargain basement price of £89 per head.

When questioned about their legitimacy, they went on the offensive, made sexually explicit suggestions about one of their detractor's mothers, then 'closed down' - blaming it on harrassment by a number of inidviduals, whom they named.

Well this one is mentioned in the news section of the Abellio Greater Anglia website so there's a chance it is genuine. ;)

This is totally genuine. I work at the AGA Norwich depot and sign the short set and know that it is real! ;)
