Wondering if someone knows the definitive available options when using the NR RST Online Leisure Card Priv rates when travelling from / to Heathrow T5 .

I coudn't buy a ticket via the online portal yesterday (flew into Heathrow T5, travelling back to BIS), I could see various optionsbut coudn't get the system to work for me , it kept showing availble fares but when clicking on them had a message saying no available ticket delivery option ? I was travelling ( 2 Adults + 2 Kids) from T5 to BIS. In end did touch in on Elizabeth line by both adults from T5 to touch/out London Liverpool Street ( push kids infront of us through access gates both times) and then managed to get RST online tickets for all 4 of us from LST to BIS (Anytime Day single £15.40 ( 2 at £5.20, 2 at £2.50) .

Checking the RST online guide today I see confusing info about Elizabeth line not included in Priv travel 'except when crossing London between Liverpool Street and Paddington on a ticket containing the Cross-London marker' but additionally that priv can be used on Heathrow Express ( see image) .

Please could someome who is clued up on intricaies of using the NR RST Online Leisure card please advise me what options I should either be possible to buy / should of bought for travelling to T5 from BIS to take full advantage of available discounts preferring to avoiid tube hence Elizabeth of Heathrown Express preferably .

Also I did try and look at any similar previous posts but could only see one back from 2022 , it didn't really answer my question but did trigger another one :) it mentioned getting a NR priv rate discount loaded onto a Oyster card, any info on that appreciated too ? Thanks.

Kind Regards

You probably did a split ticket for Hayes & Harlington - Bishop Stortford and a Hayes & Harlington - Heathrow T5 would be easy to purchase and the price be much lower in this sense.

If you’re using a mobile version, switch to desktop, where you can just select the ticket on the Mixing Deck rather than an itinerary. Unsure what it is about Heathrow Rail that causes RST online to throw up an error, but that workaround works for me.

But isn't valid with an RST Online Leisure Card, as they can only be used on the Elizabeth Line as part of a cross-London transfer and even then only between Liverpool Street and Paddington.

Due to the requirement to purchase tickets through the RST website, you can't get an RST Online Priv added to an Oyster card.

thanks , wish I'd known of that workaround ! Feel the interface is really poor as doesn't make it clear which service , Elizabeth line , HeX etc is included in options generated !

thanks, find it really poor that when looking up via phone it doesn't have a dedicated iPhone app.
