You should be given the option of a remote interview but some managers are doing face-to-face interviews provided distancing guidelines can be followed. If you are offered an interview then it's best to check what format it will take, and if you're uncomfortable with the arrangements then speak up.

Could be a few days - could be a year (in my case and it then went to position withdrawn....).

Could go either way - it means what it says - you're just being considered.

It doesn't always mean an interview unfortunately. I had one for station supervisor like that for around 3 months then went straight to application unsuccessful.
