Half through intention and half just because the weather was always good, I've been out stalking XC01 (refurb HST) to get shots of it in sunny locations. Also got a cracker of the NMT whilst waiting for it at Hasland.

The Lickey one is significant as it's not been possible for years to shoot a northbound passenger HST, and come December timetable change, it won't be once more. Maybe that will be one of the last opportunities, but I look forward to the few years when XC have 5 sets operational anyway! Links below

Thanks for your kind comments, and Mintona don't eb so downhearted. Until Dec 2004 I didn't have a dSLR, and everything since then, including my use of photo editing software is self taught.

Having said that the new wave of compact cameras are fantastic because it gives people who wouldn't normally spend the money or time the ability to record our railway history.

We are all doing an important bit with our own sites, because as a whole there cannot be many workings that have been missed.
