Is it accessible for any Tom, Dick or Harry wanting a look around or is the site closed to the general public?

It's not accessible; it's such a high security zone that even the officially contracted photographer who LOCOG are paying to picture the site every day until the games are over has been moaning in the Metro or Standard last month about being repeatedly thrown out by G4S for taking photographs of the stadium...

So it appears from what you say that G4S are better in their core business of security than with their staff members' operational performance in the field of rail-related positions, of we hear so much detrimental comment about on this forum.

I'd say they were pretty good but I did managed to get to the front door of one of the arenas without the right pass!

Had to exit the park to get the right pass and re enter!

Not really, because the same article went on to quote a senior Met police bod as saying he was getting totally fed up with explaining to G4S patrols that it was perfectly legal for people to photograph the stadium...
