He will soon be eligible for an Oyster 60+ card and will only need to buy the ticket from Surbiton to Basingstoke for £14.20.
Would he then have to use a train that stops at Surbiton ?
He usually takes the 11:12 from Clapham Junction to Weymouth with first stop Basingstoke at 11:47 (35 minutes)
There is a 11:19 that stops at Surbiton and gets to Basingstoke at 12:28 (69 minutes)
