Yesterday I bought an Oyster card and loaded it with £5 of Pay as you go credit.

I made the following journeys.

Euston - Goodge Street (£2.00)
Goodge Street - Piccadilly Circus (£2.00) *
Piccadilly Circus - King's Cross St. Pancras (£1.30)

*I registered my Oyster card here and had my 16-25 railcard added onto it.

I now have £0.40 left on the card. I think I've got my head around it. I've been capped at £4.60 as that's the Off Peak price cap for a railcard.

So I have understood it all correctly haven't I?

The cap would have been triggered after the railcard was loaded, so you have been given the reduced price.
